Mine was pleasant and warm. 24 degrees freedom (that's what the F stands for, right?) . So I took the Monster. It sat outside at my girlfriend’s place all night. It was completely white with frost. She texted to make sure I didn’t turn into the night king. I maintain that it was warm and I don’t know what she was worried about. 10/10 will do again.

First snow day. I am now my 4th day into illegally still having summer tires on on the Twingo. The law is to change them on the 15th of November. Fine is somewhere around 100 US bucks. Paycheck comes in a week or so, so I’ll get the winters fitted on immediately .

Thankfully it didn’t stick and the roads were just wet.
The radio played cool music tho.

Commuted to the doctors office because I feel like hell and was certain I had the flu. I got tested and I do not have the flu. I drove home and I’m sitting on the couch with the chills. Can I order a couch with heated seats?

It was around 50F for me. Burb was parked outside because we had a gaga ball pit setup in the garage for the kids. I remote started it a couple of minutes before I walked out. Then proceeded to turn on the heated seat and steering wheel. My 18 minute commute into downtown Houston was wonderful.

Just about to do mine...the morning school run. We’ve had some light rain and the dirt road shouldn’t be dusty so I can go faster to defeat the corrugations without dusting the neighbours...and the rest should be a straightforward open road into town. Easy 20 minutes there and back...

This near-freezing is quite disorienting. It’ll be warm in a couple days, so I’m not too worried.

I do need to get my tires swapped, but it’s warming up again and I hate to do it too early.

10c in the morning and 24c in the afternoon. i have stuffy nose so no air-con for me.

A bus almost crashes into me and into a police car

An Aveo, a Rio, and an armored truck crashed

A BMW flipped me off because they wanted the right of way.

Oh an Acura tailgated me near a zipper merger because they didn’t want to let anyone merge between me and them.

I gave way to a taxi driver stuck behind a stationary truck but they didn’t react to my civil act, instead they waved their hand telling me to go past... then merging behind me...

I also did a 20-80kmh pull on the highway

Made it all the way to work, only to find that I had left my badge at home leaving me unable to clock in or log into my computer. Had to go all the way home and back. Only started work 50 minutes late so there was that.

I usually swap snow tires on before snow hits, them swap back. We just don't get enough here to keep them on all the time.

Yeah, I usually hold off until it starts getting consistently cold (like under 50 for a solid couple weeks) before I swap, but it often goes well above this.

My next set will be all-weather tires so I can swap them earlier with less worry about when to finally do the swap. I rarely drive in snow anyhow, so it would be more to get home when it happens when I happen to be out.

I woke up at 8:37 am after multiple harassments by my cats to feed them and alarm clock snoozing. My wife fed the cats before I got up. I drank some coffee, hopped on my usual 9 am call with my business partner, chilled with the wife and some more coffee, then went down to the office in the basement.

I also left the house to go grocery shopping in the middle of the afternoon. I ended up choosing the correct supermarket that was running a bunch of pre-Thanksgiving deals but wasn’t so completely mobbed with all the people trying to shop after they got out of work.

Now I’m back home, finishing up one last work thing for the day and then I’ll go a mile up the road to the gym.

It was 50F today and I was pretty chilly with the top down on my Miata going down the highway at 80. I have definitely gone soft living in Socal because that would have been an exceptionally warm day back East. I contemplated why I dont have a hard top for the “cold” weather. Past me thinks I am a panzy.
